Translation: "The First Amendment does not apply to U.S. citizens who oppose Democrats."
In other words he should do as Hitler would have done? Or Stalin or Mao or Fidel?
And if they refused to obey the President's order what then? Do like Clinton and send someone around to kill their cats?
When I surfaced, all the swift boats had left, and I was alone taking fire from both banks. To avoid the incoming fire, I repeatedly swam under water as long as I could hold my breath, attempting to make it to the north bank of the river. I thought I would die right there. The odds were against me avoiding the incoming fire and, even if I made it out of the river, I thought I'd be captured and executed. Kerry must have seen me in the water and directed his driver, Del Sandusky, to turn the boat around. Kerry's boat ran up to me in the water, bow on, and I was able to climb up a cargo net to the lip of the deck. But, because I was nearly upside down, I couldn't make it over the edge of the deck. This left me hanging out in the open, a perfect target. John, already wounded by the explosion that threw me off his boat, came out onto the bow, exposing himself to the fire directed at us from the jungle, and pulled me aboard.
It is taken from Rassman's own account in the Wall Street Journal: http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110005460
Also note that Rassman said all boats had fled the scene, which is not true, unless Rassman was thrown from the boat while Kerry was fleeing the scene, because the other boats stayed with PCF3
Bush served stateside in the Guard during the Vietnam years.
Fact: GWB served long and honorably, having joined up in 1968 and was Honorably Discharged in 1973. That is not a short, "hiding out" service. And it was not without risk:
Ex-pilot says Bush put in for Vietnam
excerpt:
Air Guard pilot duty required up to 2½ years of active-duty service for training, he said. Draftees served for two years, overwhelmingly in the Army.
Air National Guard units began flying supply missions in Vietnam in 1965, and the Air Guard was mobilized twice during the Vietnam War. Guard aviators in five squadrons flying the F-100 Super Sabre fighter-bomber were called up for duty in Vietnam in 1968.
"Avoiding service?" Campenni said. "Yeah, tell that to those guys."
Simply flying tactical military aircraft is dangerous, he said.
"Six of those with whom I served in those years never made their 30th birthdays because they died in crashes flying air-defense missions" in the United States, Campenni said.
"Our Texas [Air National Guard] unit lost several planes right there in Houston during Lt. Bush's tenure, with fatalities," he said.
"Just strapping on one of those obsolescing F-102s was risking one's life."
"I don't think anyone knows for sure whether or not they were in Cambodia that night, but they were near Cambodia on Christmas Eve," John Hurley, who heads a pro-Kerry veterans group, said on "Fox News Sunday." "He was five miles into Cambodia on a different occasion."
Kerry has many times now told an absolutely ridiculous and patently false story which Hurley's vague mumble in no way rescues. There's a fine analysis on the Apocalypse Kerry thread.
When did she do this? Are you sure you are not taking about Joan Baez?
That is exactly what I told my husband when I read the stuff that Dole said.
Dole was in the studio with Wolf. I watched it and my husband and I were cheering him during his whole appearance.
The record shows that he did show up which is more than that other liar you worked for did. The one who lied to get out of the commitment he signed to serve.
Or are you saying that National Guardsmen don't deserve dental care? That would be more in line with the current liar you are hacking for who never saw a defense bill he couldn't vote against.
Ironically, they were defending Kerry against charges he was a war criminal for shooting the teenage Cong in the back in the Silver Star episode.
- One of the boats hits a mine and explodes.
- Brave F'n hightails it out of there to save his sorry butt. This action by Skerrdycat causes Rassman to fall off F'n's boat.
- The other Swifties are busy rounding up those men from the mined boat who are in the water.
- F'n sees that Rassman is in the water as a result of his cowardice and that other sailors will possibly rescue Rassman.
- F'n knows the other Swifties will wonder why Rassman is in the water when he wasn't aboard the mined boat.
- F'n rescues the poor fellow who wouldn't even have needed rescuing if he hadn't been for Skerrdy's own skedaddling.
- Conniver and opportunist that he is, he comes up with the story about getting fired upon and turns in his own recommendation for a medal.
- F'n has to have corroboration for that citation so he says another Swiftie was fired upon as well.
Do you think Kerry will suddenly decide he's a "Gay American" and drop out?
Thank you so very much for your trouble!!! You have been very kind. I have marked it.
Wouldn't the 60 day rule prohibit that?
GOOD!
GMTA...
Thank you, TigersEye. I will do so, and I pass it on to other folks.
Ahahah - my dad's favorite saying...
