Why would Kerry sue? He's a public figure. Even if he's 100% right, and he isn't, he'd not win. His suit would be like peeing in the wind. He'd get with stuff he doensn't want to get wet with.
In addition, it would look pretty bad if he sued a vet at this point in the game.
