So, how many years has it been reported that N. Korea is on the verge of collapse?

Since watching "Winter Sonata" and "Autumn Fairy Tale" is reported to cause people to change their minds, we should immediately acquire a few copies, dub them (pronto!) into moslem languages and use these melodramas extensively in Gitmo and Abu Ghraib interrogations. Who knows, it might work.

This is intriguing news.
I can't imagine a communist, hereditary monarchy lasting for any great length of time, at least, not from an historical perspective.
It's kind of like what happened to the Caesars, whose genetic stock kept being diminished through incessant inbreeding, eventually leading to the misrule that characterized the regimes of Caligula and Nero.

Thanks Ruth!
I'll be sure to check out that link.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to cable television "Seven", so I won't be able to watch that program.
Personally, I think that channels like A&E and The History Channel are the only worthwhile reasons for getting cable in the first place.

Beautiful.
I can see why he would want to suppress beauty.

I am sorry if I wasn't clear about the Laura Mansfield show,
she is on Radio, the Jerry Brown program, it is also something America. I get it on the KSL station, from Utah.
Laura does an hour every Sunday night on terrorists and the weeks news on them.
She is very good, she has lived in Egypt and understands so much that I do not. She can also read the language.
You will find her posts on the terror link above, as StillProud2BeFree.
Nope, granny isn't a groupie, I was thankful for the translations that she has shared with us over the months, long before I knew her name or that she was a regular on several radio programs.
I don't have a TV or go to movies, but the one that was posted "Winter Sonata", I would love to see, it looks lovely. Has anyone been able to see it? Is it good.

There will be scenes in there, in Winter Sonata, etc., showing downtown, modern Seoul, South Korea with all the accoutrement of advanced living. North Koreans accustomed to eating tree bark are going to get ideas in their heads, and some of them might be a disposition to get growingly pissed off with Kim Jong il for their miserable lives.
