Dole came back and went to the University of Kansas law school. His wife had to go to class with him to take notes. Of course, they later got divorced which is sad. Anyway, I can't imagine going to law school without being able to take notes.

Dem Senator Bill Nelson says the "Truth is coming out now." and brings up the Chicago Trib writer as one who was there "commanding a swift boat right along side John Kerry."

But wait - I thought that one of the main talking points against the Swifty's was that they were not on the same boat as Ketchup Boy, therefore - they were not qualified to criticize him. Ipsofacto - how could someone speak positively about Lurch if he was not on the same boat as him?

Actually, its the other way around. His character was revealed in RVN and has been confirmed continuously throughout his tenure in the US Senate.

Great words by Bob Dole, but I think we're going about this wrong. If you attack the Purple Hearts or his service you get mired in an investigation of volumes of old facts.

If you go straight to Kerry's VVAW comments, you can hang him with his own words! Concentrate on his treasonous actions after the war, and you get rid of a great deal of the factual controversies. The second Swift Boat ad starts to do this.

Kerry, by shamelessly trying to tout himself as a war hero, has walked right into the kill zone. I guess his four big months of constant warfare (snicker) didn't prepare him for this. The Swifties know what they're doing. Their campaign will follow a tactical path.
