Not so. I'm not a Buchananite yet I'm for closing the borders, deporting illegal aliens on sight, and prosecuting people who hire them, and give them government funded services without proper proof of citizenship.
Is this racist? NO. I don't care what color or creed they are, if they didn't come in through the INS, then they should be booted out.
This has nothing to do with anti-Bush attitudes. I like Bush. I just think he's pandering to the burgeoning Latino vote because it's bigger than the iceberg that sank the Titanic already.
How did it get that way? Illegal immigration. Do we want a country populated by the spawn of illegal immigrants? I don't think so. We have enough trouble encouraging recent immigrants to think they're real Americans. Most of them have bought into the idea that they're citizens of the world or some nonsense like that.
This is the last generation before America tilts under the waves, people. Wake up.
So remove INS restrictions on Mexican immigration (you're not for massive federal government totalitarianism like the Democrats are you?) and you will have zero illegal immigration. Problem solved, right?

He's also "pandering" to small business owners, American consumers, people who oppose massive and ridiculously inefficient federal government bureaucracies, etc. You know... those anti-American Communist types. (Sigh...)

I voted for GWB in 2000 knowing that my state was up for grabs but I do agree with Pat Buchanan on illegal immigration.
Its funny how Pat Buchanan takes a beating here on the Free Republic but I watched him the other night on Scarbough Country and he was so on the mark about John Kerry that even some of Pats biggest critics here were rooting for him.

Pats a pretty good punching bag around here but when Joe Scarbough was letting Steve McMahon and that other disgusting rat operative run the show and blaming the Republican Party for violating CFR laws and calling GWB a draft dodger, it was Pat that stepped up to the plate and set the record straight on what was going on in 1971. He said it was guys like Kerry who lost the Vietnam War by aiding the Communist and he made his remarks with quite a bit of passion.
Just because a lot of us don't agree with President Bush on border control or lack there of, doesn't mean we're not going to vote for him.
