MSNBC's Keith Olbermann Applauds Chris Matthews (Keith tells Michelle Malkin to go kill herself)
TVNewser ^ | 8/20/2004

Posted on 08/20/2004 9:13:39 PM PDT by Cableguy

An an e-mail to TVNewser, MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann has a message for Michelle Malkin: "I'd say to her exactly what a veteran sage reporter once said to me after I made a terrifically bad rookie mistake on a newscast in Los Angeles: 'I'm very proud of you, you have great courage. If I'd just done that on television, I'd go home and open my veins.'" He'll be Hardblogging about it again today...

Dwindling fast. The only program I have left to watch on MSNBC is Joe "Banjo Boy" Scarborough.

I watch "Imus in the Morning," but that's a radio program.

I was being literal. John Kerry should kill himself.

He has exposed the sham of socialism/communism within the democrat party - and outed their establishment media machine.

The entire democrat party has been destroyed overnight.

I think Malkin refused to allow Matthews to establish his vocabulary, that's what she resisted. No one ever charged that Kerry shot himself. To say, 'No, he didn't shoot himself' would have given the impression that the charge was that Kerry shot himself. It was a subtle technique Matthews was using to fool people who aren't paying attention...he was setting up a straw man and trying to get Michelle to use his vocabulary. She did the right thing and handled it well. She stuck to the language of the book which was a good idea.

Does 0.5 mean you have 25 viewers, of which 24 hate you?

perhaps it means 24 viewers were too wasted to know what they were watching and had last watched Imus so the set was already on MSN=========================BC !!! keith boy needs to come up with something to replace his crumbling paper and throwing it at the cameras, maybe he should take his contract and do us all a favor and crumple that one up !

If Kerry keeps it up the Vets won't have to buy commercials since they are getting all this free newstime. I can't remember a time in politics when your opponent went to court to stop a commercial. If the ad were false he is given enough air time to respond. The idea this guy is trying to portray himself as a war hero for shooting someone in the back on a 4 month tour, and essentially using that as his credentials to lead our country is LUDICROUS. He missed so many votes in Congress which speaks volumes as to his real intent, get himself elected at any cost even if it means your present job which you were elected to and have constituents waiting for your help but you are nowhere to be found, just with Teresa (I really wonder about that plane crash, just so convienent to switch parties and FINANCE the opposition's candidate for president).....I SMELL A RAT

Remeber Michael Savage told a homosexual he was arguing with to "go get aids and die" and they took his show off the air.

My question is: What's coming next?

One can only imagine the absolute HYSTERIA that is to come during September and October! My dad and I have discussed this and both agree that, at the rate it is going, it is not beneath the Dems to attempt to asassinate Bush and/or other higher ups in their maddening quest to regain power. Could easily blame it on al Quaeda.

Great deduction. I believe you're right.

Yep! Michelle's only error was in assuming that Matthews was professional enough to have actually read the Swiftboaters' book before commenting on it. She mentioned the self-inflicted wounds on the assumption that Matthews knew what she was talking about. Not having even cracked open the book he'd been ridiculing on TV, Matthews went ballistic and began howling that Michelle was accusing Kerry of shooting himself to avoid combat.

Michelle's error was one that anybody might make. If I was invited on a talk show where a particular book was being discussed, I'd assume the host had read the book.

But Matthews' error was atrocious. He had failed to read the very book he was using as the topic on several editions of his show. Even worse, he was attacking the book without having read it.

Olberman's error was equally appalling. He smeared Michelle without checking on the context of what actually happened.

Michelle wins the round and the match!

It's just like Rush said-The more the libs think they are losing, the crazier they get. I never watch Olbermann. To me he's a Letterman wannabe-from the sarcasm, to throwing a ball of crumpled paper to the sound of breaking glass. And Chrissy is really nuts!! The internal poll numbers must be breaking for Bush. They can't control their anger or be civil for five minutes when interviewing conservatives.

Chrissy had not even bothered to read "Unfit For Command" and was clueless as to what Michele was talking about, ie. 'self-inflicted wound'. Chrissy made a fool and jackass of himself.

Thanks to Rush for giving Michele a forum to speak without getting spit upon!

Well, Chris Matthews, as any good democrat would do, believes that the official military record, since it hasn't been challenged in 30 years, is the real truth.

Unless sKerry signs the form180 releasing his ENTIRE medical records, this would seem the logical strategy...to believe the "official" record, and not the Swifboat Vets.

Fore example, if somebody were to sign an affidavit or testify in a legal venue that George W. Bush spent a couple of weekends snorting coke and indulging in orgies instead of attending his weekend warrior traning, would we believe the report or simply dismiss it as an outrageous lie?

God Bless Dubya and keep him safe.

I saw it too and was sitting on the edge of my seat.

Matthews attacked her,he didn't interview her.

He was wild eyed and crazy and she didn't stand a chance against that maniac.
