Hope grows at Serna Village
A grant of $14 million will more than double the number of housing units for homeless families getting back on their feet at McClellan Park.

A homeless housing project at McClellan Park will more than double in size - adding living units, a computer center and a garden - with $14 million that's expected to come in through a federal tax credit program.
Next year, residential capacity at Serna Village will grow from 40 to 84 units under an expansion project headed by Mercy Housing California, a regional nonprofit housing corporation.
Mercy Housing was awarded low-income housing tax credits, allowing companies that invest in the project to get a break on their federal taxes.
