CNN: Kerry Will File Legal Challenge to Swift Boat Veterans-Demands Immediate Suspension of Ads
NewsMax.com ^ | 8/20/04 | Carl Limbacher

CNN is reporting Friday afternoon that the Kerry campaign will file a complaint with the FEC.

Wolf Blitzer reported that the campaign will allege that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth are illegally coordinating their efforts with the Bush-Cheney campaign.

The complaint reportedly demands that the Swiftvets immediately suspend broadcasts of commericals attacking John Kerry's Vietnam War record and return any moneys raised in conjunction with the ad campaign.

The complaint is an extension of Sen. Kerry's charge on Thursday that the Swiftvets are a "front group" for the Bush Cheney campaign, alleging that the group has broken campaign laws by coordinating their efforts with the White House.

John O'Neill, author of the book "Unfit for Command," which details the charges described in the anti-Kerry commercials, said Friday that he had no connection with the White House, adding that his group wouldn't suspend the ads even if the White House asked them too.

"This isn't his fight," O'Neill told radio host Sean Hannity. "This is between the veterans who served in Vietnam and John Kerry."

That is a lot of money to some folks...it is to me. When I said that I was meaning that I was really getting the urge to "sacrifice" to see they get their message out. I heard they had over 10,000 donors and have raised $450,000 so far.

BTW....has anyone heard anything else from McCain about these 527 groups?

I think the Swifties were hoping for this.

They have not been working with the RNC.

However, moveon.org has worked with the DNC...so has the ADA.
Kerry did this to try and make the Swifties look bad...the problem is...the Swifties' lawyers will be able to demand that Kerry show proof that they work with the RNC...which Kerry won't be able to. He'll make stuff up...and it will come back on him.

The Swifties can also demand that the FEC look back into the moveon.org and ADA connections to the DNC. INCLUDING THAT THEY ARE FUNDED BY TEREEEEEZUH.

That would mean the FEC would have to look into the money miz Heinz spent on Kerry.....INCLUDING THE HOUSE that was put up so Kerry could borrow money for his campaign. He claimed that she has not given money....which she has.

And if Kerry keeps trying to say they are lying...and pushes for the FEC to look into that....the Swifties will have the right to have their lawyers demand to have Kerry release is full military and medical records.

Kerry is dropping in polls with vets. and now he is in a state of panic.

OK chilren, here are your spelling words for today. Write down each one five times and then use it in a sentence:

Implosion
Scary
Carry
Bitter
Liar
Unfit
Illegal
Partner
Looser
War
Criminal
Sedition
Treason

As always, chilren, extra credit if you can use ALL the words in one sentence. If you choose to do this you can change the words slightly, such as changing illegal to illegally, but the changed word must be spelled correctly to get credit.

Good luck!

Kerry better batten down the hatches. Former POW's are considering joining up with the SwiftVets. Something about the tape recordings of Kerry's 1971 senate statements that were sent to Hanoi by the VVAW group that were used agianst them. I believe the FBI files on the VVAW have this documented. Lock and Load.

I think McCain has been put on a leash. The RNC is probably willing to cut him off at the nuts.

The hypocrisy is astounding.

Peter Lewis and George Soros' $26 million donated to lefty 527's is OK and the $100K donated by a "Republican in Texas" is not OK (because, he is from Texas. And is a Republican).

Over at DU they are having a heyday with this. They think it is great. The line of reasoning is that because Kerry and Edwards are both "brilliant" lawyers that they wouldn't be pursuing this unless they had overwhelming PROOF that Bush is "coordinating" with the swift vets. Stupidly, though, they think that if they can establish a "link" with Rove, that Bush will be destroyed. They are only INVITING an investigation into leftist 527's like Moveon, which DOES have links to Kerry.

Kerry is a yellow-belly chicken sh!&----too afraid to answer the charges, so he'll fight to shut down the questions.

...and return any moneys raised in conjunction with the ad campaign.

The Swiftvets can keep my money. In fact, they can look for more!

First Kerry says that, if his opponents want to discuss Vietnam, they should "bring it on." Then he goes crying to the FEC to prevent his opponents from discussing Vietnam. Further, by filing the FEC complaint, he gives the Swift Boat Guys more free publicity than they could ever hope for.

Is he trying to lose this race?

Somehow I always have to laugh when they make a big deal about a rascally BUSH supporter from Texas. Yeah, like a Dem supported from NJ is going to contribute?

That's exactly what the new ad is about.

Text of Swift Boat Vets' Ad Against Kerry

Kerry wasn't doing well against the Swiftees with his garbage, and now he's also got the POWs to contend with

Yes.. that link worked fine. That's the most powerful ad I've seen yet. No wonder they won't show the whole ad on the network new shows. Thanks for the link.

If Kerry is crying foul and filing a frivolous complaint, the Swifty ads must be working. I find that rather inspiring. I've already donated $50.00 to the Swifties. But now that they've done such a good job, I think it's time to double it and send them $100.00.

This is a stunning tactic! Amazingly BAD decision for Kerry. It could only mean that, in their eyes, THE SWIFTYS MUST BE STOPPED, or the campaign is over!!!!! This is a extreme desparate measure. . they know they're in BIG TROUBLE!!!!

Ditto, ditto, ditto!

The arrogant, lying Kerry is seeing his life flash before his eyes. THEY KNOW THEY ARE ON LIFE SUPPORT AND ANOTHER WEEK OR TWO OF THIS AND THEY ARE TOAST!@!!

If this is not stopped NOW, Kerry and Company know the drumbeat to release ALL of his records will grow louder. If he does that and is proven a liar, he's toast this election and for ever more. If this is not stopped now, the discussion will turn to Kerry's shameful, treasonous activity after his return.

Cicero might be informative at this point:

---I. When, O Catiline, do you mean to cease abusing our patience? How long is that madness of yours still to mock us? When is there to be an end of that unbridled audacity of yours, swaggering about as it does now? Do not the nightly guards placed on the Palatine Hill--do not the watches posted throughout the city--does not the alarm of the people, and the union of all good men--does not the precaution taken of assembling the senate in thus most defensible place--do not the looks and countenances of this venerable body here present, have any effect upon you? Do you not feel that your plans are detected? Do you not see that your conspiracy is already arrested and rendered powerless by the knowledge which every one here possesses of it? What is there that you did last night, what the night before-- where is it that you were--who was there that you summoned to meet you--what design was there which was adopted by you, with which you think that any one of us is unacquainted?

[2] Shame on the age and on its principles! The senate is aware of these things; the consul sees them; and yet this man lives. Lives! aye, he comes even into the senate. He takes a part in the public deliberations; he is watching and marking down and checking off for slaughter every individual among us. And we, gallant men that we are, think that we are doing our duty to the republic if we keep out of the way of his frenzied attacks.

You ought, O Catiline, long ago to have been led to execution by command of the consul. That destruction which you have been long plotting against us ought to have already fallen on your own head.---
