That's a great point. The ad is already out there. Even if it never airs on TV, it'll fly all over the internet, even more than if the ads had actually been allowed to run.
Something about protesting too much seems appropriate here. Kerry's sinking his own boat, no pun intended. :)
I agree. Kerry trying to stop the ads and threatening the book's publisher will only make people MORE curious as to what it's all about and MORE people will hear it's message as a result.
