Tucker Carlson just said that CNN has been notified that the Kerry camp will seek to have the goverment pull the Swift Boat veterans for Truth ads.

That's right. The authors should sue Kerry for interfering with the book.

If Kerry believes the book is false, he should sue for libel. To succeed, he would need to present proof of his own -- the sealed records.

If I may be so bold as to offer an opinion... What have these guys been smoking???!!!
...The 2004 Presidential race has been "bitter" ever since 2000, starting out with that algore-inspired morass down in Florida, and all the dems' subequent, and unceasing, comments about the President's 'fitness'. The fact that Kerry, the 'unfit' one himself is now, finally, starting to take a few shots does *NOT* mean that the race has "taken a bitter turn", but only that these whiners are *FINALLY* starting to "reap" a little of what they've sewn.

The reason, of course, that Kerry is getting so upset about these SwiftVet ads is: 1)They're TRUE. and 2)He has hung his hat on his claims (and subsequent augmentations) of being a big "war hero", and 3) His record since 1971 shows he's got nothing else to offer Americans but a more-rapid slide into Marxian (Clintonian?) socialism. If the general public ever gets wind of, or even starts seriously questioning, what the *REAL* John Kerry is all about, it's 'taps' for his political aspirations.

I have already sent SwiftVets a contribution and, as well as they have been doing recently (FINALLY, SOME *"TRACTION"*), I may well send them more. ...I would certainly encourage ALL other 'right-minded' folks ...those who do not wish their children and grandchildren to grow up under socialism... to do the same!

...Just MY opinion, of course.

More or less...the next big ad will be a quiet opening to some old gentleman from Kansas...talking about how some folks are opposed to free speech...with a kerry-sign in the background. The guy will talk about his Vietnam years...and a tear will flow down the side of his face. And then the guy will say...I had to stand and fight for freedom...and I just can't see someone taking that right away.
