I was watching Inside Politics a few minutes ago,and a Kerry campaing spokesman blames President Bush for the Swift-Boat ads. He says the ads are illegal, and the President is behind them. Wolf Blitzer tried to get him to name names that are behind the ads,and the only name he could come up with was Karl Rove. Wolf pressed him to take the Bush Campaing to court.
This will blow up in their misunderestimating faces.
At least Kerry's consistent. He got his start in politics by smearing his fellow veterans, and he's ending the same way.
Spellcheck is my friend.
Sorry -campaign
I was so irritated I could hardly type. AAARRRGH-------
Illegal??? Based on what? If these ads are illegal, so are all the $60 million or so ads run by Democratic 527's. Rove and Bush have their hands off these, but I bet Kerry had some say over the MoveOn ads.
excellent.
Kerry's handlers have no idea how to handle this right now.
I (swallowing hard) believe CNN has been evenhanded in their coverage of this in the past couple of days.
If their "war hero" can't stand the heat without resorting to supressing speech then he's not ready for primetime.
more proof the swiftvet ads are hurting hamster boy big time.
Easy solution.
Stop watching CNN. :)
Well he's right. It's illegal to say bad things about liberals like Kerry because liberals are perfect and never lie or mislead or otherwise do unsavory things.
Democrats consider the First Amendment to be 'illegal'.
Unlike Michael Moore, I'll bet not a single Swift Vet will be in the Presidential box at the RNC.
The Kerry campaign has exactly the same connections to the troublemakers about to try to vandalize NYC, let alone MoveOn and co, that the Reps do to the Swiftees. A point that bears constant repeating.
Watch for the DNC plants today folks. They will be pouring in. Some have been here a while and are more subtle. Others will be blatant and will get immediately zotted.
We need another Rapid Response team and more volunteers.
Who's responsible for campaign finance oversight? The Republicans tried to complain to this group about the MoveOn.org ads and were rebuffed. Let's see if this same committee will try to get the Swift Boat Vets yanked and if they do, they better provide a very good reason why they would take off the SBV but not the leftists.
Illegal? Honestly, I think sKerry has mental health issues.
Shalom.
