This woman could be the dumbest and most nakedly opportunistic representative in Congress.

And I understand what a strong statement that is - yes, I believe Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson Lee are more intelligent than she is.

Typical know-nothing knee-jerk anti-gunner. The .50BMG "MACHINE GUN ROUND" was originally used in aircraft and on tanks in FIXED-MOUNT AUTOMATIC WEAPONS.

The .50BMG shoulder-fired weapon was first introduced as a SINGLE-SHOT rifle for very-long-range civilian target competition using the .50BMG cartridge. Only AFTER the weapon had been around for quite a number of years did the military get interested in using it for "some" sniper usage. In the very recent past, a SEMI-AUTOMATIC version was developed.

To the best of my knowledge, there as NEVER BEEN A CRIME OF ANY SORT COMMITTED with a .50BMG weapon.

The weapons were first used by the U.S. military, because they can pierce tanks and aircraft.

WW-I era tanks were the object of the .50 BMG cartridge design. But the .50 cal semi-auto or bolt action rifles were never intended to pierce tank armor, nor can they. Aircraft can be pierced by .22 long rifle ammunition.

What maroon! A dangerous one though.

I've heard about armor-piercing ammunition, but an armor-piercing rifle? Wow, that must be quite a bit of recoil to get the rifle to go through armor like that.

I thought it was summer break time for these YO YO's

You wanna stop crime lady...try going after the gang bangers and illegal alien rapists and murderes in your own back yard....that's where the violent crime is...and its in the human heart...evil fertilized by liberal....ideology...

No ..instead you have to mess with law abiding gun owners....hard working tax paying Americans...many of whom are combat veterans...who like to hunt and target shoot and take their kids along to teach them...their sons and daughters...

How many 50 cal owners are gang bangers?.....How many members of long range shooting clubs have committed any gun crimes...?

So what's your real agenda lady...you are nothing but a gun grabbing incrementalist...using guns to sensationalizes your 'do nothing' 'soft on criminals' congress record...

So how much of a 'real effect' have YOUR laws had on crime in YOUR congressional district...

So why are you messing in mine...?

Keep your nose in your own congressional district and stay out of places you dont belong
you sob sister...busy body...no God commie *#@8&!

imo

Good heavens...where to start. Clearly Ms Maloney needs to go back and at least do some cursory research on the subject. Right now she's sounding pretty dim and completely uninformed.

Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney says under current federal law, .50-caliber armor-piercing sniper rifles are actually easier to purchase than a handgun.

So, correct this injustice by making it easier to purchase a handgun, you ninny!

A local congresswoman wants to ban the sale of an armor-piercing rifle.

Dumb phrase alert. Just how does this work? Do you have to run up to the tank and stab at it? Must be the top secret "vorpal M16" I've heard so much about.

She's the one whose husband was shot to death by the black racist terrorist Colin Ferguson on the Long Island commuter railroad.

Before the body was cold she was giving press conferences, palling around with and endorsing local Democrats, and then won a sympathy election to Congress.

She immediately signed on to the whole NOW agenda and has had flowing Emily's List money to bathe in ever since.

I know she's had some issues with the law - she may have been picked up for a DUI.

She has the worst accent since Sue Molinari, too.

Thanks. I now remember who she is, and I did have her confused with somebody else.

If Colin Ferguson had not had a gun, her husband would have died from being beaten with a bat or hacked with a machete. Ferguson was going to kill "white devils" by any means available.

Maloney says various terrorist organizations are now buying the weapons, and they can be used against the nation's aircraft and chemical plants.

Really? Prove it.
