NEWARK — A doctor who told reporters he had an affair with a man accusing Gov. James E. McGreevey of sexual harassment was arrested at his Livingston home and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday. Officers took Michael David Miller into custody about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, the Essex County Sheriff’s Office said Friday morning. Miller was reportedly charged with impersonating an FBI officer and causing false public alarm. “His behavior was so bizarre that I felt compelled, after discussing this with the prosecutor, to take this action to protect the community and Mr. Miller,” Sheriff Armando Fontoura told the Star-Ledger of Newark. Authorities declined to comment Friday on the charges, but said Miller was to be arraigned later in the day. Miller told the Daily News Thursday that he had an affair with Golan Cipel, a former adviser to the governor. McGreevey announced last week that he is gay and said he had an affair with a man and intends to resign from office. Sources close to McGreevey have identified the man as Cipel, and said the Israeli had demanded millions of dollars to stay quiet. However, Cipel says he is straight and was subject to sexual harassment by McGreevey. His lawyer has said the extortion claims are false and that the governor’s representatives offered money for Cipel to stay quiet. Cipel has denied Miller’s claims. “Never in my life have I had relations with a man, certainly not with this man who has come forward in the United States,” Cipel said in a statement faxed to The Associated Press in Israel, where Cipel is staying. The Star-Ledger reported that Miller falsely told police he is a CIA operative and the satellite dish on his house is used for CIA communication. The doctor also is accused of calling police and Essex County courts and alleging that a former tenant would blow up the Essex County Courthouse.

Look, the guy is completely insane, but nobody thought he was impersonating anything. Methinks the Essex county prosecutor might have a little . . . affinity . . . for McGreevey.

To any impartial observer, this guy is obviously mentally disturbed. The media reporting this guy's anti-Cipel rantings like it was a credible story, is inexcusable.
This guy is not a source, he is a bad joke.
