There is a similar thread detailing the Dem's tactics to increase voter turnout among the transient population, which is otherwise known as BUMS!
If I'm not mistaken, during the last presidential election they attempted to bribe homeless people into pulling the lever for Gore by offering them free cartons of smokes.

And just WHY is it "illegal" to check voter id's a the polls?
(Don't they check id's when we use a credit card?)
Gee .... Couldn't have anything to do with illegals voting? Several times?

You are not mistaken! That happened in Milwaukee--although it may have been packs, not cartons. :o|p.....
Compare tactics to the WI Governor race of '02. The dims went into NURSING HOMES to play BINGO with OLD FOLKS and give them CHEAP BAUBLES as prizes, and took them to vote for Diamond Jim Doyle.
Evil? Let's just say that's the first and last time Dims have economized anything having to do with operations....

I still remember the first time I voted. I walked into the school with my drivers license in hand. The lady at the table said "You don't need that. I just need to know your name."
She looked it up and I signed. I then went to the ballot. I could have walked right back in and signed my Fathers name and voted again.
(But my Father would have kicked my butt)
Picture ID should be required.

Heh, heh.
You're probably right about that.
It is frightening to think of the tactics they'll use to entice people into voting for them.
And this is the Democratic party?
Pfft!

The Democrats will steal this presidential election. They are ruthless and will not let anything stand in their way. They also learned many lessons from their first attempt in Florida. They will be much improved this time.

Nope, It was in Albuquerque, NM! I always check to see what sort of shape my former home is in.

Which party has all the billionaires again? </otto voice>
And DO NOT ask me about picture ID in WI. I'll be forced to take my meds again.

I can see why.
New York is probably one of the worst states when it comes to authenticating voter identity.
Believe it or not, there was a very liberal state senator named Larry Seabrook, who was actually in favor of changing this situation.
Unfortunately, they haven't made much headway in this department since the last presidential election.

Picture ID should be required. I agree. Every time and everywhere a law requiring Id's comes to a vote, the Dems defeat it. This happens at the same time Dems are screaming that something has to be done about voter fraud.

If I have a gas company's charge card, like Mobil or Hess, they are better about security than most places are about voting.
Let's get VISA or MasterCard to run the vote counting. We would have nationwide results in about 2 hours, and they would be accurate and verifiable.
