I wish she would have said something as well. Your sentence is darn good, but way too many words when your dealing with a rabid rapid fire mouth. Maybe she could have just slapped him in the face and told him to "calm down your Kerry lovin' jerk". That might have got his attention for a second and would have been a delight to see.
And last night he let Howard Dean get away with saying something absurd, and when called on it by his next guest, stated in the political season he lets people say what they want.

If you are not careful with grenades you can inflict wounds upon yourself. Self inflicted but not intentional. Probably not medal worthy.
If he intentionally inflicted the wounds upon himself that is malingering and punishable by UCMJ.
A self inflicted wound does not have to be deliberate.

Matthews knows this. But he's desperately trying to create spin because he's on a crusade against the evil neo-con 'spiracy. So he takes Malkin's completely accurate comment, taken directly from the book, and tries to twist it to say "oh, you're accusing him of purposely shooting himself".
Pathetic. He needs to go back on his meds.
I had to laugh when Prissy Chrissy asked the Vet how the Vet knew Kerry was out for self aggrandizement. The camera he carried around and the re-staging of battles was sort of a giveaway.
Be wary about the shrapnel in the leg stuff. This guy is a born idiot and could have had some injury when he was a kid which he'd now claim was from the war, just like OJ trying on the glove.
They're trying to change the terms of the debate from things they can't win to things they can obstruct or obscure. Stick to the facts and essential truths that Kerry is already a proven liar and a delusional one at that.
Yes, Cleland suffered from (truly) accidental wounds. Kerry's fall into the "negligent" category IMO. Neither are worthy to qualify for the awards Kerry received.
