This is not an accurate description of what we are told in Genesis. Cain is not listed as Adam's child. Cain did marry someone, and it was not his sister. His generations are listed separately and their names are so very similar to those of Adam's generations.

I believe that those "10 Tribes" were SENT into captivity as their punishment for not obeying our Heavenly Father. The other part of their punishment was the "REMOVAL" of their identity. Now Abraham was told his linage was to number the stars of the heavens and the sands of the sea.

The tribe of Judah and Benjamin were in and around Jerusalem and were sent to Babylon, during Ezra and Nehemiah's time "70" years they were sent back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple. Jeremiah gives us the story about they were going to "BABYLON", and they would not listen.

Jeremiah took the "tender twigs" daughters of the "king" of Judah and left the middle eat and went "west".

In these times, "Jews" are all those people who:

1. Practice the Jewish religion
2. Can track their ancestors to people who practiced the Jewish religion.
3. Convert according to the halachah (religious law) of the Jewish religion.

This does NOT include practicing Christians or Muslims. Such people MUST accept Judaism in order to be considered Jewish.

The Apocrypha was not included in the Protestant Bible. It may be incomplete, but the Bible you're using may also be expanded with questionable references (the Apocrypha). We have to agree on veracity of references or we might as well end the discussion.

I do believe that it was not genetics that was at issue with God, but lineage.

It is interesting that the Gospels record the lineage of Jesus through both his mothers' and his earthly fathers' lineage, thereby verifying prophecy that Jesus was of the Davidic line.

I believe that this was also the reason for the Satanic-inspired massacres attempted on the House of Israel throughout their history, and the miraculous saving of the lineage of David recorded several times in the Old Testament.
