Here's my rendition of a Chris Matthews' interview:

Matthews: You said, sir, that you wanted a cheese sandwich.

Person against Matthews' agenda: No, sir, I did not say that.

Matthews: Well, I have the transcript right here. "I would like a peanut butter sandwich." I think that proves it--you are a liar.

Anyway, I hate to use this language but Matthews is a partisan prick. I've always hated him and his rapid talking and partisan agenda, but he's gone overboard. I wish Michelle Malkin had punched him in the nose. I betcha she felt like it.

As far as the self inflicted wounds. Doesn't self-inflicted not only mean that you take a gun and deliberately shoot yourself in the foot, but also that you do something that unintentionally causes an injury. Maybe someone that knows about this can shed some light. Anyway, absolutely infuriating--all of MSNBC.

This story is just now getting interesting. Kerry is now buying $500K in ads to rebut the Swift Boat guys. This story has legs because Kerry has been caught repeatedly lying. He is having a very bad week. Two obvious examples are the 1968 Christmas in Cambodia, and trying to pretent he's Bob Kerrey and he was the vice chairman of the Intelligence Committee. Kerry is imploding, the race is within the margin of error, and we haven't even had the convention yet. Things are starting to look good!

I agree with the caveat that this is very critical time in which Kerry can get back on offense (as he's trying to do today), or he can be kept off balance by the swiftvets AND Bush's speeches AND talk radio AND the internet AND the GOP. The synthesis had better be right to really get Kerry to "stay down".

It would also be good for these swift vets to point out that in some cases their observations all they have, because unlike a certain grandstander, they didn't think to bring a video camera to film their experiences.

Kerry wrote the medals for his crew to win favors from his crew pure and simple. The primary purpose was to keep his crew quiet while he wrote himself out of duty in Viet Nam. A sort of blackmail with a quid pro quo thrown in as I see it.

I'm not a regular Chris Matthews fan. Bur, I wondered over to MSNBC hear him interview Thurlow. His foaming at the mouth and shrill has gotten worse. I can't see why anyone, other then a DemoRat, who he pampers, would subject him/herself with his garbage! He appears to be smoking Donkey Dung.

HOW DID KERRY KNOW RASSMANN WAS IN THE WATER IF HIS BOAT WAS

MOVING AWAY FROM WHERE THE SO-CALLED ACTION WAS ?...

because he was on Kerry's boat and fell in when Kerry took off real suddenly to avoid danger. When Kerry heard the gun shots stop he knew there was no enemy fire (the others were firing instantly just in case the enemy was hiding on the shores. I read that often when a mine exploded the enemy was there to detonate it.This is why the men that stayed were brave because they rescued the men and boat when they could have been in great danger.} Kerry obviously knew that Rassmann was missing off his boat and looked for him when he got back. The others were busy rescuing the men who ended up in the water from the injured boat. They were just going to Rassmann when Kerry turned up. It is possible that Rassmann was confused because of all the shots fired onto the shore from our men and thought there was enemy fire.

Thank you for the post. I commend every one who gives the swift boat vets money. Please also lets not forget to pray for them. They are not young and they are going through a lot. It must be quite stressful to come up against such wickedness. This is a harder battle then when they fought in Vietnam. We need to pray for their protection and their health. We need to pray for their message. Pray that God sustains them and allows them to stand in the face of evil. Pray that God allows the truth that they are speaking to ring out and gives them ready answers to all the questions they are asked. Pray that they are not shaken. God bless everyone who prays for them as they really need it.

I was so pissed at Matthews last night that I sent a nasty email to him. Right after I hit the send button I was still so mad that I wrote a second nasty email to him. I'm still upset at his bullying tactics. He is clearly a partisan hack and MSNBC should take him off the air or at least allow Hannity to be his co-host.

I am STILL po'ed ..then watching Michelle Malkin this morning on CSPAN where she got razzed again by call-ins...I was out for bear. I did hear MM on Laura Ingraham's radio show (great! did NOT get interrupted!) and she still portrays herself to be classy and almost brilliant.

I would like some of our favorite 'talkers' to bring goggles next time they are on Hardball and when Matthews starts spewing, whip them out, put them on, and embarass him.
