Poles never attacked German tanks with cavalry, this is only myth created by nazi propaganda cause they wanted to discredit Poland as good ally of western countries. This sensational news were started by Italian press, we all know what side they represented then. In fact many peoples still thinks that that was true, you see how effective can be good propaganda machine. I also recommend to you “God’s playground: A History of Poland ”, book of the most famous British historian who is specialist in Poland theme and Eastern Europe at all.

Btw Poland had tanks, planes etc but Germans had more and better.

Some examples from the internet, from rather serious international sources.

But polish troops in fact fought even if they knew that they don’t have any chances, after Warsaw failed, main example of their bravery is defending of Westerplatte:

A breakdown of Polish armour at the outbreak of war can be found here: http://derela.republika.pl/form.htm

Most of the equipment was locally made based upon improvements to British designs, but there was also a mix of French and British equpment.

For an in depth look at some of the hardware, see this Freeper Foxhole posting: The FReeper Foxhole's TreadHead Tuesday - The 7TP/7-Tonowy Polski Light Tank - June 1st, 2004

"The German army was so impressed with this design they incorporated as many 7TP tanks as possible into their service."
