ACTUALLY - the Swift Boat Veterans - held a news conference in May, 2004. MONTHS ago, not weeks ago. It was telecast on CSPAN2. Mainstream media ignored them. There were many here at FR that did see it and I think it inflamed viewers who saw it back in May and it hung dead in the water for months and months! And Freepers didn't stand still for it, not one minute!
Mainstream media just started talking about it ONLY due to the Backlash recently. Internet news junkies have followed this and it all started at FR, as far as I'm concerned.
Folks here at FR have never ignored them; and I think they've done a heck of a job keeping it in the media. Majority of them ARE Vietnam Veterans keeping it in the news who tell the truth! That's who's kept it in the limelight. Vietnam Veterans who know what's what.
That's the story I know --- and I'm sticking to it.
The similarities between Kerry's claims and different scenes from the movie "Apocalypse Now" are amazing.
It's an easy mistake. John even thought he was Bob in regards to that little ol' Vice Chairman position. LOL.
I'm sure he'll claim his story was the basis for the movie, much as Algore claims his was the basis for Love Story.

Now, that's another lie, I guess. I didn't hear it first hand. You mentioned he said "Today in his speech he said of the Swifties, "they've been out there for a week". I think an intentional lie to hide the fact that he's refused to defend himself for over 3 weeks, not 1."

Those of us who watched it live back then were pretty bowled over with their testimonies. I wouldn't have known of it either, except for this site.
NOT ONE MAJOR TV station even gave it a sniff. They were all there, though; in attendance. Not one reported then.

You know, there are all the American hating sobs that are always going around saying how bad america is and how bad they hate America.
My question to them is and always has been, "If you don't like it why don't you leave? I dont see anyone holding a gun on you."

Folks on this thread need to know that this new FReeper, Veritas et equitas ad Votum, is a young and VERY intelligent young man. He has his head screwed on correctly and his heart is definitely in the right place!
Although I was only able to spend a short time visiting with him, thee is something about him that instantly lets anyone know he is a person of great character!
This young man has recently graduated from Penn State and is seeking a commission in the armed forces of our country. He is the kind of man that anyone would seek to emulate and follow. He is the opposite of the slime-ball officer named Hanoi John Kerry!
I know that which ever branch is fortunate enough to get him, is gonna benefit immensely from his personal character and integrity.
I wish him the greatest success!

Reporter (name escapes me) stationed in D.C., reports on the Kerry campaign's FCC complaint filed against Bush/Cheney, accusing them of coordinating with the SwiftBoat Veteran's ad campaign, says this [excerpt transcribed by me from my videotape]:
"The AP reports today that a volunteer for the Kerry campaign says he picked up a flier in a Bush/Cheney campaign office in Gainesville, Florida.
Now that flier, according to this person, promotes a weekend rally by SwiftBoat Veterans for Truth.
The Kerry camp says the Bush/Cheney campaign was busted for coordinating in their smear campaign against John Kerry.
A Bush/Cheney campaign spokesman says he doesn't know how the paper wound up at a county GOP office used by Bush/Cheney volunteers.
He does say, however, the campaign would immediately object to any such flier being displayed at any Republican Headquarters."
