You've got to expect the Kerry people are going to fight back. After all, the Bush campaign began by highlighting evidence of Kerry insincerity (flip-flops on the Iraq votes, etc.), and then went for the jugular by attempting to tarnish Kerry's war record. I'm sure the Kerry people (who believe he's a hero) think this is down-and-dirty campaigning at its worst, and are preparing to respond in kind.

We better hope the Kerry people don't have an ace up their sleeve -- what I'm afraid of is they'll conjure up "proof" that Bush lied about his service in the National Guard. Opinion polling now indicates that the war is the most important issue on voters' minds and that 50% of the public thinks the war is a mistake. If the public decides Bush is not honest (as piles of Bush-bashing books are braying), Bush is toast.

This has been investigated and reinvestigated EVERY time Bush has run for ANYTHING for years now and there is no ACE to be found. Period.

Kerry's lying about his record is another story.
