The thing that doesnt correspond with what you are saying is that the cadaver dogs didnt hit on the boat right ? I would think the pliers would have been used but since they were not rusty possibly they were in his shop. I dont recall hearing the dogs hit on the boat, if I am wrong let me know but that seems to throw this theory off.

While preparing the body at his shop or elsewhere with anchors and chicken wire and then a quick drop off the bridge in the middle of the night could be an explanation. Two other things, the gal picked up with their checks and Snott's statement "I didnt do it but I know who did" will work with this theory..

I can't remember whether it was a cadaver dog, or just a "living person" scent dog, which was interested in the boat. I think it was the dog Trimble--which kind of dog is Trimble?

This information came out during the preliminary, b/c along with the preliminary hearing, they also had a hearing on the admissibility of the dog tracking evidence. There was a report by the dog's trainer that was made available to the public.

They said that the dog expressed great interest in the side of the boat, and also in some boxes which were under a bench in Scott's warehouse. But the dog did not quite reach the point where it went into the "hit" position.

If you want to read the prelim stuff, I can point you to it.
