Same colorado survey usa poll with bush and kerry tied shows Coors up one 48 to 47. That makes no sense - why would Coors have a higher poll number than Bush.

Because Coors is a local type guy who people of CO probably like personally - Why does SD have two DEM Senators yet vote for GWB by 20pts???

Coors is an unknown quantity to Coloradoans. You figure in most states that are republican, the republican senatorial candidate does slightly worse than Bush. See Georgia, North and South Carolina, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Alaska. But in Colorado, it's reversed - that doesn't pass the smell test. Does that mean Coors is somehow inherently more popular in his state (from name recognition?) than Isaakson, Demint, Coburn, Murkowski, Burr and Vitter in their respective states. I don't think so. So I think that poll goes in the dust bin. It may be that one out of the twenty polls that is flawed. Like Survey USA had Bush and Kerry tied in California a couple of months ago - that was another probable junk poll even though I wanted to believe it.
