Windows XP Service Pack 2 can "break" many applications because it essentially turns off ALL Internet port number access. A number of applications require open Internet port access and they will crash or not work properly under Widnows XP SP2.

I expect within the next few weeks updated versions of many programs that will work within the tighter security settings of WinXP SP2.
