FBI looks for possible terrorists along the border. (terrorist suspect actually named and described)
El Paso Times ^ | August 17, 2004 | Louie Gilot

A Saudi terrorist suspect might be making his way to the U.S.-Mexico border amid groups of undocumented immigrants, officials with the FBI and the U.S. Embassy said.

Officials on both sides of the border have asked law enforcement officials, including Border Patrol agents and El Paso¹s bridge inspectors, as well as the community at large to be on the lookout for Adnan G. El Shukrijumah, 29, a native of Saudi Arabia who may be using a Guyanese, Canadian or Trinidadian passport.

Shukrijumah was spotted in Honduras earlier this year, FBI officials said, and used to reside in Trinidad and Tobago, off the coast of Latin America. "He is believed to be one of the most dangerous cell leader below the leadership of al-Qaeda who plans to hurt the United States," Art Werge, spokesman for the FBI in El Paso, said.

Officials said Shukrijumah might be using immigrant-smuggling routes through Central America and Mexico to get to the border.

Shukrijumah has reportedly received training in aircrafts and explosives, Werge said. He is about 132 pounds, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 and occasionally wears a beard. He speaks English.

There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

A kind of short thin one.

I bet I could break his arms and legs and then pop his head like an overripe cantaloupe in less than sixty seconds, all the time with a smile on my face.

If he was in Honduras earlier in the year, that doesn't tell us much about when he could have got here --- it would take only a day or so and faster if he flew.

Let me get this straight. They have known who he is, where he was living, and the SOB hasn't had a fatal "accident" yet? C'mon, CIA; no more Mr. Nice Guy, O.K?

He looks too Mexican

It's not so much looks though --- I wonder if that's why he spent some time further south --- to pick up habits and mannerisms of Hondurans or Panamanians to fool Mexicans into thinking he was from one of those countries to avoid detection.

You may be right about this guy. He has a $5 milllion price on his head and many Mexicans would turn him in. However, I really don't think as a whole Mexico cares who comes here illegally. If Mexico cared, we wouldn't be catching Chinese or MEs in US border towns.

Last week Santiago Creel claimed that 30 South Africans were arrested in Mexico with illegal passports and that only one was a terrorist. Remember, this was after Farida was caught at the McAllen airport.

Just like we know who are foreigners in our country, Mexico also knows those who are foreigners in their country.

Notice how the headline doesn't have to identify WHICH border, and we all know right away...

No -- most don't care. They also don't really pay that close attention to who is getting on the bus or plane or train headed north and many might not be that knowledgeble about Central Americans to pick them out from Arabs posing as Central Americans. The human smugglers would take the money from anyone --- they certainly don't care about anything but money.

Don't be surprised if he couldn't do the same to you and never lose the ash from his cigarette.

A guy doesn't get a 5 Million Reward for taking his mom to church on Sunday. The man is a serious danger to AMerican citizens.

Question: Are we under attack? From whom?

My belief is that we are in a war waged by our government against us. The elected officials want us to have open borders following Agenda 21 and the UN's sustainable development plan, while we want secure borders with controlled immigration.

Currently we have an uncontrolled invasion. Yes that is the word, INVASION!

The sense of compassion is so great in the White House that policy says to allow this invasion of illegal aliens to occur and to support them in every way possible!

In voting for a Republican I certainly expected a decrease not an increase in socialist spending!

I understand that the American population is aging and we do need some outside workers to come and fill some of these vacant career opportunities. This is the purpose of controlled immigration, is it not?

Any illegal alien who can sneak across our borders avoiding the Border Patrol while searching for the welfare offices will receive "presumptive eligibility" for free or assisted housing, food, medical care and a free education for his children.

There are schools in my community that provide three meals a day to illegal alien children who are attending tax supported public schools.

Is this fair to the citizens of the United States who are currently under debt for the very existence of these schools?

Is it fair that our children are refused the education they deserve?

Their teachers are unable to spend the necessary time with our children because of time necessary for these illegal alien children.

Is it fair that we should incur more debt to educate the children of illegal immigrants?

Is it fair that we should have to pay the costs of these children or their parents when they commit crimes and are sentenced to prisons?

Mexican consulates open in the U.S. with the same frequency of new Wal Marts, and everyone cheers for the new ID station close to home.

Cochise County, Arizona has become a virtual terrorist alley. The restrictions placed on the men and women in the Border Patrol are sufficient evidence of this.

Would one of you legal beagles explain where in the United States Constitution does it say that we are responsible for the families of another nation?

No, I'm not cold hearted, at least until I feel someone is trying to take advantage of me.

Mexico is not a country without resources. They are wealthy in crude oil and minerals, yet the government they have chosen refuses to assist the lower classes of Mexican citizens. These people rush across our borders for aid from the American taxpayer under the direction and guidance of the Mexican government.

What on earth has prompted this the surge of compassionate socialism under President Bush? Why doesn't he have at least the same concern for Americans? I'm wondering is our President a Republican or a Progressive Democrat?

Homeland Security restructuring is a farce and a failure. Illegal immigration is threat to our security.

If there is another terrorist attack within the borders of the United States the blame shall sit squarely and deservedly upon the shoulders of our President, not the Border Patrol or our local and federal law enforcement agencies nor our intelligence agencies. The President is the one who signs the budget for the Border Patrol.

The Border Patrol catches, then releases, illegals because the President will not adequately fund them. Just like a nice ESA style fishing plan.

FY 2004 (Oct – Jun) apprehension of Illegal aliens coming across the US Mexico Border by the US Border Patrol
I totaled up these numbers from the stats Marine Inspector posted for us a few days ago..

Syria.........We captured 5 which means 20 probably made it
Saudi Arabia..We captured 6 which means 30 probably made it
Lebanon.......We captured 8 which means 32 probably made it
Jordan........We captured 9 which means 36 probably made it
Iran..........We captured 7 which means 28 probably made it
Egypt.........We captured 9 which means 36 probably made it
Canada ......We captured 12 which means 48 probably made it

41,741 'Other Than Mexicans' also were apprehended which works out to 166,964 illegal aliens probably made it without being captured. this is roughly the population of Winston-Salem, NC, Tyler, TX or Las Cruces, NM. How do you like thinking that number of people could be terrorists. Yes, eating next to you in the restaurant thinking about whether to blow it up after dessert or when the next police car drives by?

Adnan G. El Shukrijumah, who uses aliases Adnan G. El Shukri Jumah; Abu Arif; Ja'far Al-Tayar; Jaffar Al-Tayyar; Jafar Tayar; Jaafar Al-Tayyarand probably a dozen more we don't know about is reported to be coming our way.

Unfortunately this guy looks like a Mexicam so with your rules of no profiling, he will indoubtablt check into a good hotel and be comfortable while he figures out how to kill Americans.

Hint: We need some border protection NOW! Actually, a couple of years ago would have been real nice.

The general failure of all of our elected officials to follow their Oath of Office is treasonous and criminal.

Today, civilians are bearing a heavy load attempting to aid the Border Patrol in their task. Our retail business are suffering from the teams of thieves stealing from their stores. Hospitals are going broke.

How long are we going to hold the door open for our political leaders to betray the America and their Oath of Office?

States have the ability to audit and purge the rolls of ineligible voters, but will they? Of course not, because too many elective officials might find themselves unemployed or in prison for collusion.

Article IV., Section 4 of the Constitution; "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence."

We elect people to defend America's soil and they think that protecting alien nations, where the oil is what we should be satisfied with.

Mr. President, I'm tired of hearing that the GOP, the RNC and Karl Rove believe that us conservatives have nowhere else to go. Unless you make some big changes in direction many people will vote third party just to show you they aren't satisfied with your leadership. Don't be surprised if one of them jumps to the forefront in the next few years.

Well, I hope that there is not a single nuance in this article because I want you to understand my position loud and clear. Mr. President, I think you need to aim your compassion towards American citizens not the criminals who disregard our immigration laws. The new opportunities and jobs on American soil belong to Americans first, not foreigners who have shown us disrespect. Outsourcing jobs only shows more disrespect to the people who built this country, ie. NAFTA. PS The Congressmen and women who sit back without mentioning what their District is thinking are not doing you any favors.

I'm trying to figure out how this works, the Mexican border is only important when there is a terrorist alert? What about the rest of the time?

Well rod, it is important to the politicos for those extra votes, and to those business owners that prefer employees that are ignorant, could care less about benefits, will work their butts off for six bucks an hour, and wouldn't know a labor law from a pork chop.....

I have nothing but contempt for those lawless, greedy a$$holes.

B4, there's no way I could agree with you more.

That's a dead on post!

I'm as baffled as anyone else.
I simply do not understand our government's position toward Mexico and illegal aliens.

The worst part is that we have been promised nothing better in the next four years.

That's the part that is particularly troublesome and discouraging. For our borders, there is no hope on the way.
