John Kerry, Bob Kerrey. It's easy to get confused. At least that's how the Kerry campaign is explaining claims that Kerry — the Democratic presidential candidate — served as vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

Oops. Make that Bob Kerrey — the former Democratic senator from Nebraska who did serve as the panel's vice chairman.

The Kerry Campaign has also had to issue the following retractions from their campaign headquarters during the past few days:

"Further research has revealed that it was Chuck Berry, and not John Kerry, who recorded Johnny B. Goode".

"We regret the erroneous press release stating that it was John Kerry, when in fact it was Gaylord Perry, who was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991".

"We apologize for implying that it was John Kerry, rather than Deborah Harry, who was the lead singer for Blondie".

Kerry apologizes to Sissy Spacek


John Kerry apologized to Ms Spacek for the recent mixup.as his campaign team mistakenly claimed that the Senator had starred in the Stephen King thriller "CARRIE."

"It is that damn name thing again" said an unnamed staffer. We WANT to get the facts straight, but this gets all so confusing sometimes. By the way, can you verify that you spell the country next to Vietnam

In further developments, the estate of Cary Grant has filed suit against against the Kerry campaign for falsely stating that the Senatory had starred in such movies as "I Was a War Male Bride" (where the campaign insisted that the hero had won three purple hearts!), "My Favorite Wife" (NO cameo appearances by Teresa Heinz-Kerry), and "Merrily We Go to Hell" which some campaign staffer mistakenly thought was a documentary on the twenty years voting records Sen. Kerry.

When questioned about the accuracy of his campaign statements, Kerry is reported to have said "talk to that damn real estate guy in Houston about it. he is funding this whole smear campaign."

Let's see. I've listened to Kerry and his minions and I believe I have enough information to make an informed opinion.

This was no error but a deliberate lie.

Also, Kerry still refuses to authorize the release of his attendance record at the closed meetings, although he and his Kamp aren't shy about pointing the closed meetings to imply he attended faithfully.

I don't believe it.
