The hatred of black conservatives, and particularly Catholic black conservatives, is a stain on the honor of this forum. Do you notice how Republican conservative blacks running in primaries seem to attract no interest or support on this forum? Connect the dots.
Keyes is not "hated" for being Catholic. He's not hated at all.
This goofy reparations idea has no basis in Catholic theology, in American politics, or especially in conservative thought.
Trust me. A lot of us aren't thrilled to see our fellow Freepers giving the nod to a reparations plan, either.
If you still don't know why people don't like Keyes (HINT: nothing on your list has anything to do with it whatsoever), you will never get it.

Not real sure who you're firing at there with that burst, but speaking solely for myself, I'm a "social conservative" who's inlaws are all Catholic, and who's steadfastly supported Alan Keyes for years -- until tonight.
