"I have also made it clear that while I believe that the descendants of slaves would be helped by this period of tax relief, my firm goal and ultimate objective is to replace the income tax, and thereby free all Americans from this insidious form of tax slavery. It is well known that this is one of the key priorities of the Keyes campaign."
~~Alan Keyes

Yup. Restore the Republic - repeal the 16th and 17th.

" Restore the Republic - repeal the 16th and 17th."-- Jim Robinson

"...removing the tax burden from the black community for a generation or two..." -- Alan Keyes

That tells me that Alan doesn't plan on working to repeal either the 16th or the 17th in his lifetime.

But in the mean time waive my taxes and those of my children. Good plan.

GREAT IDEA BTTT. Jim called this one earlier today.

Jim must be getting the "Keyes for Senate Campaign Talking Points"....lol.

By Keyes elevating the slavery issue (Illinois, Lincoln, Emancipation Proclamation, black Conservative Republican, etc.) in this manner does some interesting things.

1)It generates heat to bring fire-watchers into this arena of significant policy dissemination and discussion (look at the press in Illinois already, mmm, mmm, mmm) from the far left and the 'far right' (Keyes' views used to be centrist in America, but go figure)
and
2)It focuses the issue of slavery in the context of many of his other very sound and compelling arguments' main tenet, being "SIMPLY YOUR MIGHT DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT" - as it relates to, say, the IRS/IRC, to infanticide, sovereignty, etc. - he sets up the narrative for a discussion to follow about respect and freedom...

It's exciting, because I can see this is a clever debate that goes hand in hand with Hastert's (and Bush's??!!) FAIR TAX IRS/IRC ABOLITION DOMESTIC POLICY CENTERPIECE for the 2nd Bush term!

Keyes is really good at what he's good at, and one of those things is debating...but he really wins those as before the debating starts as he does during the debating! Which is why he's a dangerous American (black Conservative Republican Christian) in so many people's eyes.

And, oh, Alan is a CATHOLIC "Jesus Freak" who believes that God wrote His Word to keep all of us - on this planet, and in this nation - from becoming what and where we are ultimately headed if the decline and deconstruction by most non-Conservatives continues.

And we all know that Jesus Freaks 'need not apply' anywhere but at church now in America...back of the bus for Conservatives and Christians...ha...not today, not ever.

If the GOP masses won't get behind Conservatives, America is doomed IMO...

Good night all, and God bless, AFE O&O.
