I heard speculation on the radio last week that Kushner was the one who outed McGreevy because McGreevy didn't back Kushner up in his Federal indictment. If it's a Federal indictment, McGreevy can't pardon Kushner.

Related item: seems obvious to me that Golan's relationship with McGreevey was consensual, at least at the beginning. There is no way Jim would have kept him, or provided him, a $100 K position without something in return. Golan is changing his story now because there's no $$$ if the relationship was exclusively consensual (no harassment) and, also, Golan is ashamed... many, many Jews look very unfavorably upon homosexuality.
