OK, then. Why was the bar owner not carrying, then, instead of knuckling up? This smells, to me, like a couple of buttheads out to rough up some person who couldn't defend himself. Guess they were wrong, eh?
Interestingly, I believe, from a short search, that OK bans brass knuckles altogether, as do most states.
Again, there's more to this story than was written, I'm quite sure.
Excellent point MM. From what I have read on this thread, it seems obvious that these thugs got a kick out of roughing up people whom they thought were unable to defend themselves. The thugs were wrong in this case, and I, for one, am glad.
I am reminded of a very old joke:
A man who was offended by some comments from a trucker on his CB confronts said trucker at a rest stop:
Offended man (striking his best martial arts pose): "Karate!"

§21-1272. Unlawful carry.
It shall be unlawful for any person to carry upon or about his or her person, or in a purse or other container belonging to the person, any pistol, revolver, shotgun or rifle whether loaded or unloaded or any dagger, bowie knife, dirk knife, switchblade knife, spring-type knife, sword cane, knife having a blade which opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring, or other device in the handle of the knife, blackjack, loaded cane, billy, hand chain, metal knuckles, or any other offensive weapon, whether such weapon be concealed or unconcealed...
Subsequent paragraphs excempt concealed handgun permit holders under 1290.1, recreational use of knives, and peace officers, but even with a concealed handgun permit you still can't carry brass knuckles:
1290.7. Construing authority of license
The authority to carry a concealed handgun pursuant to a valid handgun license as authorized by the provisions of the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act, Sections 1 through 25 of this act, [FN1] shall not be construed to authorize any person to:
1. Carry or possess any weapon other than an authorized pistol as defined by the provisions of Section 2 of this act; [FN2]
So it does indeed appear that they're openly admitting to a misdemeanor under Oklahoma law.
