I never could figure out why Jews vote for rats but a couple things that really struck me as clues in the last few years:

The Ashcroft confirmation hearings where one Jewish Senator after another scowled at him while denigrating his Christianity flat out saying he is unqualified for the position because his beliefs were too strong.

The scowling at Mel Gibson with "how dare you make a movie based on the new testament".

There is an extreme hatred/fear of Christians and Christianity among most American Jews that never really becomes obvious until something or someone Christian threatens to bubble up to the mainstream.

That much is fact. I'm sure the reasons for it are more complex than I can guess at. It is ironic that if Christianity met the doom that most Jews wish for it that their own doom would swiftly follow.

And the Republican Jewish Coalition ran TV ads in support of Ashcroft.

I am always amazed when articles like this are posted, at the ignorance that gets posted in response.

And one other thing. Most of the uber-players in the Demo party are Christians. Daschle, Pelosi, Clinton, Kennedy - they are the real movers and shakers. Why do Christians hate America so much??? (Just kidding...)

- I'm afraid that you are right and the attacks are getting bolder and more open, especially from the Hollywood establishment. This increased willingness to mock, belittle and attack Christians seems to have begun in ernest about 30 to 40 years ago by the ACLU and it's constant stream of lawsuits against any Christian based ministries which have been tried before judges who in many cases are Jews themselves and therefor sympathetic to secular, if not anti-Christian, arguments. These people wrap themselves in the US Constitution as the reasons for their actions but I sometimes wonder if the goal isn't the complete elimination of Christianity in the public life of America and to drive it underground and out of sight.
