My first surname ancestor to reach America came in 1659 to Prince Georges County, Maryland, to be a planter, and he was quite good at it. I bet my forefathers lost a whole lot with the 13th Amendment. No justice, no peace!

My first name ancestor came to Charles County, Maryland around 1685 as a slave from Ireland. Eventually he worked his way to freedom. I guess that my family qualifies for this slavery thing also.
