Another thing that has been constant on this forum is freedom of speech, but several folks dreamed up defenses to CFR when that crap got passed.
You could have fooled me.
It's the same logic and you're defending it. These are the rags that trashed the first GOP candidate by digging up his divorce. They're leftist to the core and you're swallowing their swill and selling it too.
I am not saying that I disagree with you. I would like to see it fleshed out a little more before commenting myself. I am partially the descendant of slaves, and while I could certianly use some tax relief, I don't necessarily need it because I am black. I THINK my point was/is that targeted tax relief is not synonymous with reperations. I mean they literally don't mean the same thing and I think it muddies the discussion to use them interchangably or to say that Keyes proposed reperations or whatever.
BTW: Would you mind quoting me back whatever comments I made to you when I reply. I might be carrying on several discussions here and could get confused.
It is when the tax relief is implemented as, and considered as, reparations...
Can you name one other candidate for the United States Senate this year that is getting this kind of coverage? Or 4-5 threads per day at FR?
Where was he two weeks ago? Answer - somewhere in Maryland! LOL.
Since then (and I'm sure I've missed a lot of it), he's moved to Illinois, become a candidate for one of the state's highest public offices, enlightened everyone on the many distinctions to be made between the various species of carpetbaggers, likened his opponent to a modern slaveholder, challenged the way Illinois selects occupants for the very office he's running for, and now he's advocating the creation of what would appear to most people to be a race-based tax system. And, none of these positions have really been "choices" in the ordinary sense, but are instead proposals compelled by fundamental moral principles (or imperatives, as he likes to call them).
I am toying with the idea of creating a thread that would permit people to come up with some more ideas to help him keep this train running!! ;-)
Well count me in as a big fan of Keyes who thinks his idea on reparations sucks.
Hmm...I really don't like having to do it, but when I see a RINO that really isn't part of the solution, but rather someone holding back the GOP, a Party I would love to call home again, and you are flaming RINO danger to America, who posts a LOT of flaming anti-Conservative rhetoric that needs to be addressed. You either get paid to subvert the Conservative Movement or you have no life as a bitter old hag...you tell me, because you know everything.
You're desperate to make this about the newspaper for some reason.
You used Jesse Jackson's own quotes as a source; live with it.
That's me next to you in line...lol.
The further behind you get, the more personal your attacks become.
Let's just see how this gets contextualized in the next few hours and days, before throwing Alan Keyes of all people, out with the bathwater. That's all.
i thought that's what we did with college scholarships and career advancement. how many did without to advance others for this reason?
one might argue that the biggest beneficiaries in the last 30 years have been middle and upper class feminists.
What does the big picture look like in IL w/o Keyes?
Yeah really...I think I will wait for Keyes to explain.
Please clairfy what "this" is.
Tnx.
a tax cut
Well, where does it say that all of the "socialist programs that has these folks as serfs now" will actually end? I don't see that on the table as part of the proposal anywhere...
