Jackie, the tapes changed the focus from the investigation bashing to the real Scott Peterson...Play his giddy call to Amber "from Paris" just before the vigil, along with the pictures of the vigil for Laci on display, and I think they are on the way to a good final argument...Combined with the boat purchase, the computer searches, the "lost wife" story, his fishing, the ten minute timeline for Laci to be kidnapped after he left the house on the 24th,the bodies washing up where he fished, the items he had when he was arrested and he's a goner.His words and his actions.
I'm really starting to think Amber's gullibility is part of Scott's overall plan. Any other man would have told her where to shove that phone in a NY minute, but he whines and begs for more, just to say "You don't know all the facts" "I can't go in to that now" and so on.
His plan was to use her to go on the record, just in case. I swear, he was that cunning. This SOB believes he has planned the perfect murder, and I'm absolutely convinced this is a graduate course, he's done this before. Mom and Pa know this too, no doubt about it.
I also know that if he get's off, he's a walking dead man. I'd be surprised if he made it 48 hours.Besides the obvious Rocha family, can you imagine Amber, if he walks?
They've stumbled at times. But I really think they've at least impressed the jurors that they can keep their cool. You never hear of the prosecutors going into screaming fits in the courtroom, whereas Geragos does that at least once a week. Actually, Geragos does that every time some evidence comes out that is glaringly damaging to his client, such as the time a police officer testified that during the first evening (of the day she disappeared) at Scott's house, Scott at one point hurled a flashlight to the ground and cursed when cops made some mundane request of him.
It is likely that the jury foreman will be this guy who has both a law degree and a medical degree. He is said to take copious notes. At first it unsettled me that there was such a person on the jury--I mean, who can trust someone who inflicts THAT much school on himself? But now I think this guy is looking pretty convinced, from reports we hear.
There is a summary of the jurors' respective backgrounds at the courttv.com website. The apparent problem juror for the prosecution is a fireman/paramedic, No. 6. (Surprising, since that type is usually pretty level-headed.) This guy sometimes refuses to look at witnesses, and makes facial expressions like he feels displeased.
I really, really think that the prosecution is winning over some or most of these jurors. I hear that they almost all seemed to warm to Amber, even No. 6 (a little bit).
I think it will either be a conviction or a hung jury. Previously, I imagine some jurors may have felt some sympathy for Scott, a clean-cut young man who may have reminded them of a son or grandson. But NOT after hearing him on those tapes.

I don't have a clue that he has done this before..Laci was in the way and she carried a threat to his lifestyle...
He was obviously hooked on "fooling Amber"..He lived in a fantasy he created and I think he is on another planet.
Something I have wondered about since the beginning of the news coverage after Laci went missing...
Who were those "business associates" who flew in to the USA to meet with Scott while the searches were going on? Anyone remember? Didn't the meetings even take place in the lounge area of the hotel where the Laci Search Command Center was located?
They were even driven to the airport (I believe, in San Francisco) by Scottie on their way out.
What was so important? Why weren't they cancelled? And who were these people?
