OK let's see...
This was after I got divorced, and had moved up here to Greenville with my kids. I'd been talking, well, chatting online, to a guy and we had decided to meet in person.
So the meeting place was the Asheville, NC airport (hey, he coulda been a serial killer). I decided to make a test run a day or two ahead, and the clutch starts to give out on the way up the mountains. Crap. So I gotta put the car in the shop and get a rental. The day arrives and I drive up there. We meet at the airport and decide to go eat lunch at the restaurant across the street. We get over there and they aren't open yet! So we drive around a city we don't know in his very dilapidated Ford Escort. Finally we find a place looks OK, and we go in and they have bowls of peanuts on every table (I am violently allergic), so I wait while he has the waitress get the nuts off the table. We ate lunch, and then decide to go see the Biltmore estate. Well, we get there and it's $30 per person to get in! We can't afford it and end up sitting on a bench at the entrance to the Biltmore for the rest of the afternoon. Despite all that we had a great time together that day(even though he didn't really look like his picture lol). This December will be our 7th wedding anniversary! :)
