Unfortunately, I learned to hate the Citroen. Not that the car is a bad car, or even particularly ugly. I learned to hate it in the 1971-1971 time period when the phony North Vietnamese peace negotiators were always shown driving around Paris in them. When ever I see one today, I still get a P.O.d feeling. Its weird how these connections stay with us for decades. I guess its the same reason lots of Jews won't own a Mercedes. Photos of Hitler standing in the passenger area of a Mercedes limo giving a full arm salute still is powerful imagery. I guess politics invades every aspect of our lives, even old automobiles.

I mentioned that in my next post on the Citroen.
Isn't that wierd how we have that Paris Peace Talks memory?
