This isn't an Element - it's an old Trabant. Kind of makes you wonder who really designed the Element...don't it?

A car with a low roll over rate because it is so ugly the road refuses to touch it.

saw a vw thing today....can't believe they actually made that car.

The VW Thing is almost a straight-up copy of the World War 2 German Kubelwagen- the Wehrmacht (German Army) equivalent of the Jeep.

Just because it represents an interesting footnote of automotive histoy, I find it somewhat appealing. I have a friend in the Mojave Desert who has one- with a V-8 mounted in it. The thing will practically climb a tree.

What a bogus list! They don't include some modern-day cars, which are some of the worst ever. (Aztec, Element). But they have the El Camino on the list? That truck's a classic!

Not my list so don't shoot the messenger. Jeepster would have been better than the EC.

I don't know how good they were mechanically, I just always thought they were pretty ugly looking cars.

The Thing was essentially the Kubelwagen staff car from WWII.

Ladas blow.

Nevas are not too bad really. I have used them a bit in JA and in central Africa and Nicaragua.

The big ol black one always remind me of the Paris Peace Talks in the early 70s when I was a teen....that's what the Commies rode in.
