The Honda Element. Hands down.
Hey that VW Fastback is near and dear to my heart. It was my first car. Bought it used to go to school in New Orleans in 72. Wish I still had it. It kept me alive on the otherwise inhospitable streets.
Now THAT is a beautiful car.
ROTFL!
I don't think that thing would fly with two jet engines strapped on!

I loved the way the Pacer looked! Always wanted one. Would buy one now if I could find it in decent working condition!
The 'Thing' was horrible and I think the new Volkswagens that look like a squashed version of a 30's sedan with running boards are as ugly as a car can be.
Can't think of the name.

I saw the SSR first at the Orlando Auto Show and just did NOT like it at all. It seemed very impractical for a truck as well... when I saw it, you needed tools to remove the hard top. Maybe they've improved it for production, but I still see them sitting on the lot here. Oh well... you must be a better representation of the target market! I think they were trying to pull off the success of the Chrysler PT Cruiser retro thing, but in a truck. I don't think it works... but it sure sounds like you're happy with yours. I think the retro Mustang is going to be the big success story. I have also seen a concept car called the Bel Air, but it seems to use only the name, not anything like the old Bel Air. Our primary "fun car" is a restored 1965 Impala SS 409 (the joys of being married to an extraordinarily gifted car guy, or "wrench," as he puts it!), so I'm pretty spoiled... but I'm glad you're happy with the SSR. Always something of a risk with a new model, but sounds like you're glad you took it.
I've seen some bigger versions of the Pontiac Aztek driving around my town. Most are blue and have a big BFI on the side...
I LIKE the paint job, but you can't tell if it's coming or going!
That's what I thought. My ex-girlfriend has one of those AMC Eagles. Uuuuuuugly. The car, that is.
So AMC made the Pacer and the Eagle? What was in the water over there?

You take this hatred of Studebakers pretty seriously, don't you?
Hey, that '58 rambler looks remarkably like a 2005 Chrysler 300!
You're right about the Porsche guys getting rattled when the heritage of their supercars is brought up. The flat motor layout was a good enough basic design that BMW still uses a variation of it on their bikes.
The downright EVIL part of the cooling design was that the throttle cable was routed through the fan shroud and this stupid loosely press-fit tube ran through the shroud. You couldn't run the cable through from under the car and also hold the tube in place - somehow, I must have figured out a way but I remember fooling with that for a few hours one day way back. When the cable snapped on me in the middle of a major intersection, some guy in a bug stopped, ran up and handed be a coat hanger and a pair of pliers without ever saying a word.
