That was an AMC Hornet. My vote for ugliest car: Renault Le Car. What a POS. Followed by the Subaru BRAT.

In no particular order:
Pontiac Aztek (looks like it was created by the Monster Garage guys after they were slipped some acid)
AMC Pacer (looks like Michael Moore with four wheels)
Renault LeCar
AMC Matador (either boxy or curved, they were all goofy looking)
This is just for starters. I will probably think of others as the day and the thread unfolds.

It's a new marque from Toyota. It's marketed to 20-something's apparently who think Toyotas are stodgy. LOL. It's low but we haven't had any problems, and we've had it on a lot of different roads. The boxy look is why it has so much room, and I prefer the room to a sleek-looking, cramped car :) And you wouldn't believe all the stuff we've gotten inside this thing. I'd buy another one.

nothing - and I mean nothing - can top the Mitsubishi SE-RO. You are correct!
Any idea where they're solde and if they're selling?

And a tip of the hat to Marc Cohn: a 1957 silver Thunderbird.

Yes, it was Golden Gun and it had bolt-on wings.
Check out that handling:
It looks like it snapped a control arm, but no, this is 'working as designed.' LOL

I'll admit that the bug has a love it or hate it opinion with most folks. Mine got me out of a lot of jams, was exceptionally reliable and great if you were on a tight budget.Parts availability is phenominal as there were just so many produced. As it was built on the same general platform as the early porsches, it handled well and traction was never something you worried about. If you live in an area that got a good amount of snow, that car was the first choice when the weather got foul unless you had something with 4WD or positraction. Since it was so cheap, you didn't care too much if you abused it, you could always pick up another good running example for a few hundred bucks (but that was in the 60's).

I dig the Citroen DS-21. I like the style of cars that were designed as if making them look like aircraft made them more aerodynamic.
The thing below that looks like a mutant VW Beetle is so hideous, I have to resist driving with my eyes closed.

Damn Xena! You did it again! The number one (discounting the obvious reasons) reason I am nuts about you is people think I'M cool when I turn them on to links like that I can steal from you. Thanks again!
