Savage calls O'reilly a phony
Posted on 08/16/2004 4:18:36 PM PDT by slowhand520
Savage in raw form. It is great that he called O'reilly a fraud. He also said he is to concerned being fair and balanced. And also ripped his latest article.

You can disagree with O'Reilly without personally attacking him. When O'Reilly can disagree with the Swiftvets without personally attacking them, i'll consider this

I find it very ironic that Micheal Savage can't even employ his real name yet calls O'Reilly a " Phony" Stage names aren't exactly "phoney", and in fact a standard practice in entertainment -- just ask Marion Michael Morrison a.k.a. John Wayne.

"Anyhow, I'd say Savage is an acquired taste..."
Heck, I liked him from the first day I found him, over two years ago, and am a regular listener here in York, PA, from 6-10 PM EST, Mon-Fri.
They stream 3hrs live, from 6-9pm, and then repeat the 1st hour, from 9-10pm. He's also on at Saturday 12 midnight, for another 3hrs, in a "Best of Savage" repeat. Way too late for me, as I work on Sunday at my nursery and garden center, from 12noon - 5pm; tried it once or twice, and I was beat for the rest of the day.
He's streamed on his new home base, KNEW 910 AM, in SF.
You're all right about his wild mood swings and bizarre rants; some of them cause me to turn his program off, especially when he called for the impeachment of W&Co, a few weeks ago. I was PO'd, and as a member of The Paul Revere Society, have his private email, and blasted him for it. He dropped that schtick quickly, probably from all the negative email.

Thanks for the ping. I still listen to the guy too, despite my misgivings. Hell, it's no skin off my nose either way. I just have a 1.5 hour drive to and from work each day. And for some strange reason, even with a cd player, and fm radio, I listen to 90% AM talk. That's why I don't get XM. I'm afraid I'd still just listen to Bob Grant.

My apologies, wd; didn't mean to unload upon you back on 8/16. It's now 9/16 and I'm just seeing this savage thread revived. You truly were defending him; I was wrong.
"...a wolf ticket salesboy." WTH is that? Never heard of that before...
LOL.

I'm sorry for reacting with such anger myself.
I must have been mad about something else....I think I had just gotten my F&E tax bill which had doubled.
Wolf ticket selling means chest beating essentially...and I apologize for that.
I know you are a stand up RKBA soldier on this forum.

Savage has changed.
I heard him B&M(B!t*h & Moan) while he was watching O'reilly and he saw his pic flashed on the screen. Then he went off on Laura Ingraham cause he thought she was speaking for him.
He's just an angry F'er now.

Savage is happily married for 35 years to the same woman who is a published author as well. He has a married daughter and a son who is straight and single. He has a doctorate in epidemiology from the University of California (Berkeley).
He may not sound stable to you but in person he is totally solid and often is disarmingly warm and genuine. His passions include restaurants and boating. If he's also gay, it is so hidden as to be bulletproof and I would wager mucho dinero against such a revelation.

O'Reilly is a phony. I agree with Michael Savage.

Maybe acting like a raving lunatic is his schtick.

Laura ripped him a new one; it was awesome! Although he tried to overtalk her at every turn, she zinged his RINO butt with every turn-of-the-phrase. Wish I had the *.mpg of that show massacre.

You don't have to agree with O'Reilly to know that Michael Savage is a manic depressive who appeals to the absolute worst instincts in his audience.Well,I think Savage is too kind.
