He resigned his leadership in Nov. of 1971

Ummm.... there was a picture posted on here several months ago from the Boston Globe with a caption stating he was still the head of VVAW, the picture being taken in 1973. He was watching Nixon on the news. We can't post the picture because the owner of the photo (Corbis, I believe) said we couldn't...but will go see if I can find the link.

Thanks for the info. It is one more Kerry controversy. Kerry wanted everyone to believe, including Brinkley, that he resigned earlier in 1971. He didn't want anyone to know that he attended the "assassination vote" meeting in Kansas City in November. Did he take credit for still being the leader, or did the newspaper identify him as such? I knew that after his leadership resignation, he did make some more appearances.

I'd say this date appears to be disinformation; most likely disseminated by the Kerry supporters.
