I think we are getting lost in the fog that is John Kerry. I seriously doubt that Kerry committed any actionable "atrocities" in his 4 months. It is all part of the anti American lies he was and is still willing to tell in order to undermine this country and advance a foolish left wing agenda.

First he spouted irresponsible nonsense about cutting off heads, etc. Then he says well, he never saw any of that, but he engaged in standard U.S. military tactics, which violate international law. I am unaware of any finding that U.S. tactics in Vietnam violated international covenants and Kerry was once again smearing his own country at war.

What I have heard from the swiftboat vets (might be in the book) is that Kerry thought a free fire zone meant that you shot at anything you saw there.

There are witnesses to him shooting animals in a vacated village and burning down the huts there for no apparent reason.

Neither of these are 'actionable' however they are inappropriate activities.
