" MR. RUSSERT: The Boston Globe reports that your commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander Grant Hibberd has suggested that you perhaps didn't earn your first Purple Heart and question whether you should have left Vietnam after six months. In order to deal with those kinds of issues, when I asked President Bush about his service in the Texas Guard, he agreed to release all his military records, health records, everything. Would you agree to release all your military records?
SEN. KERRY: I have. I've shown them--they're available to you to come and look at. I think that's a very unfair characterization by that person. I mean, politics is politics. The medical records show that I had shrapnel removed from my arm. We were in combat. We were in a very, very--probably one of the most frightening--if you ask anybody who was with me, the two guys who were with me, was probably the most frightening night that they had that they were in Vietnam and we're...
MR. RUSSERT: But you'll make all your records public.
SEN. KERRY: They are. People can come and see them at headquarters and take a look at them. I'm not going to--but I'll tell you this. I'm proud of my service. I'm proud of what we did. I know what happened. And the Navy 35 years ago made a decision and it's the Navy's decision and I think it was the right decision."
Tim, step up to the plate.....
You have to get pret-ty early in the morning to fool Tim Russert. Like say, 11:45 a.m.
NBC's ultra-proDemocrat "softball pitcher", myopic Russert:
"Sen, Kerry, this is very important.
If you could be any tree you want, what type of tree would you be?"
The drum beat demanding that Kerry release his full records should be loud and unrelenting. I have seen a few interviews where the pro-swift vet person failed to mention it at all. Memo to the vets: When Lanny Davis and his ilk try to shout you down just repeat:
"Why won't Kerry release his records?"
Hanoi John can't afford to release all his records. All objective thinkers now have to assume that Kerry is lying. If Kerry releases his records, it will be a proven fact that only crapweasel Bush haters will deny.
His commander laughed him out of the office when he initially requested a Purple Heart for this. He got some rear echelon personnel to approve it (as I understand it) several months later when the people who knew these facts were gone.
Don't hold your breath. Big Russ is a Dem sympathizer.
The answer to this is quite simple - JF'nK will not release his records because he knows what they contain (i.e., he knows what we suspect). Doing so would only lose votes, so the best he can do is hope to dodge the question as long as possible.
SEN. KERRY: They are. People can come and see them at headquarters and take a look at them. I'm not going to--
"... give any sort of straight answer to your question, or do anything even remotely similar to that which I just now leadenly implied I would do. Wise up, Tim. You're embarrassing me, for chrissakes."
Now Bamboose is hanging out with Tim Russert?! Bad cat!!!
ping
Six months? Why do they put on people like Russert ho don't even know the basic facts? No wonder Tim is so easily fooled.
MR. RUSSERT: But you'll make all your records public.SEN. KERRY: They are. People can come and see them at headquarters and take a look at them. I'm not going to--
I'm sure that if any Republicans DID stop by the Kerry Campaign offices, they would play it up like the Republican "mob" who protested the attempt to manipulate the ballots in a closed room in Florida.
The veterans and WND should stop by to request to see the documents though.
I'm proud of what we did
Since when?
Nobody "bamboozled" russert. He's just another RAT shill. The last thing he wants is to expose kerry's lies.
bttt
How can Kerry say he is "proud of his service to the country" when he immediately came home & began to protest the war. He should be ashamed of his service as evidenced by his behavior on coming home.

He's got to be hammered relentlessly on this records release. There's too much fear in the air in Kerry's camp over what will be revealed if Kerry's records hit the world of public access.
Kerry Reneges on Promise to Release Military Records
Dave Eberhart and Chuck Noe, NewsMax.comWASHINGTON Sen. John Kerry has quickly reneged on his promise to release his full military and medical records to public scrutiny.
Wednesday, April 21, 2004
Kerry emphatically told Tim Russert on NBC's Meet the Press last weekend that people could come on down to his campaign headquarters to eyeball his full file of military records.
Theyre available to you to come and look at. People can come and see them at headquarters and take a look at them, Kerry told Russert.
Russert had asked Kerry if he would release his complete file, as President Bush did after Democrats raised questions about his service in the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War.
Kerry shot back to Russerts request, They are indicating the records were already released.
But Kerry has not released all his military records, only a small portion, and placed strict limitations on their examination.
This week several individuals and organizations, including NewsMax, followed up on Kerrys open invitation.
When the media asked to take advantage of Kerrys offer, however, Kerry's press spokesman Michael Meehan announced that the only records available would be thosealready released to the Boston Globe.
But the famously pro-Kerry Globe has pointed out that to it.
The newspaper reported Tuesday that the day after John F. Kerry said he would make all of his military records available for inspection at his campaign headquarters, a spokesman said the senator would not release any new documents, leaving undisclosed many of Kerry's evaluations by his Navy commanding officers, some medical records, and possibly other material.[Emphasis added]
