I get the feeling that some FReepers would value the life of the baby above that of the mother?

This is the terible mistake of all who excuse abortion at any stage -- who are you or me or anyone to make such an equation? -- why is any adult of better or greater value than a baby? Are you some kind of prescient person who knows what that disposed of human being might have become?

GOD IS PRO-LIFE!

That is the fact and only man in his flawed and finite rationalization is the animal which chooses to abort his young!

I had a cousin with a hugely defective heart -- who chose to become pregnant even if it did cost her her life -- she had six children and survived all of the births, in fact outlived her husband, a successful business man -- and died herself just a few short years ago. Her adult children include a police officer and three brothers and two sisters, who are professional, talented and beautifully mannered and assured in all phases of society. We would have been very poor without any one of them.

May my cousin, Rita, be an emissary for me to Our Creator, so that your heart becomes softer toward the unborn -- and also, so that this equation of some assumed greater value of any adult over any child may be recognized as the feeble and specious excuse it is ... for murder!
