There's the link to the article, apparently we can't post articles from The Indpendent directly.
Even if oil prices were to raise with Chavez out, wouldn't you still want him out? BTW, welcome aboard.
You'll be able to tell if he's out by the oil prices on the commodities market tomorrow morning. If Venezula starts selling to us again, that should help bring down the price...hopefully soon enough to help Pres. Bush, which by the way, is why the DUmmies are pulling for Chavez to stay in.
I wonder if Zogby did the polling.
Don't count on the oil supplies in Venezuela to stabilize right away if Chavez is ousted. He has taken over most of the state owned oil business and replaced intransigent executives and tanker crews with his own men. So, it will mean getting the real execs back in charge. Remember when the tankers shut down the supply by blocking the river, in protest over Chavez' policies? Well Chavez took care of them, now someone has to take care of the guys he put in place.
(1) Chavez fired everyone in any kind of a management position in V's oil companies and put in his own people (re: Know-nothing Kommies an Leftists). This may explain current inefficiencies. It may take awhile to get things up to full bore again.
(2) Chavez also fired a lot of the intelligencia in V and invited in 10's of thousands of Cuban advisors (gladly provided by Castro) to help him run the country. All these clowns are going to have to be rooted out, put on a plane, and deported.
Jimma Crater was there making sure the election went as PLANNED. That said, he will report that a number of Chavez votes, exactly the number needed to give him a victory, were not allowed and therefore, HE WINS!!!!
Right you are,the feces will hit the air circulator.
Wow ! You were soooo right
Agence France-Presse | August 15, 2004 ONE person died and 10 others were wounded today when gunmen opened fire on voters just outside Caracas during a referendum on the mandate of Venezuela's controversial president, firefighters said.
Those guys are hilarious! Is the audio available on the internet anywhere?
All of them are are morons, Chavez at the top of the list, as evidenced by his unsecured phone conversations with fellow travelers.
Like heck, buddy! It's the JOOOOOOOOOOOS -- ! < /sarcasm>
$10 says that the point of this shooting (in an "impovrished" area") is to create a pretext to nullify the results of the referendum.
Perhaps you are right, for I don't recall Chavez ever making a quote "I was for socialism before I was against it", or visa versa.
'bout time that leftist a$#-clown got booted.
Eye candy indeed, but too fake for me!
I hope she doesn't run with those. She could fall and put her eye out. ;)
CARACAS, Venezuela (Reuters) - Venezuelan electoral officials on Sunday extended voting hours for the recall referendum on the rule of left-wing President Hugo Chavez until 12 a.m. to accommodate massive voter turn out.
Venezuela's National Electoral Council had earlier extended voting until 8 p.m. from the original closing time of 4 p.m.
In the past, Venezuelan polling stations have usually stayed open until 6 p.m.
Preliminary results could be released a few hours after the booths are closed if a clear tendency in the vote is apparent.
Huge lines of voters formed at ballot centers throughout Venezuela to answer the referendum question on whether they wanted to end the mandate of the populist president, whose rule has sparked an ongoing and often violent political conflict in the world's No. 5 oil exporter
After he loses, Chavez will appear on state-run TV with Jimmeh Cahtuh, saying he has proof that hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans mistakenly voted for Pat Buchanan!
It's not official yet, but we have our fingers crossed for a free Venezuela.
a$# clown. . . . that's funny stuff . . I'd call him a cum bubble.
So much potential, but, ultimately just a stain.
