The Kerry camp is trying to keep his campaign from vanishing from sight. They're both speaking at the VFW annual convention - Bush Monday, Kerry on Wed. Only I think Bush's speech is going to be more interesting and news worthy.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 14 — President Bush is to announce on Monday that he supports a Pentagon redeployment plan and will withdraw up to 70,000 troops from Europe and Asia in the most significant rearrangement of the American military since the end of the cold war, an administration official said Saturday.

The redeployment plan itself was first reported by The New York Times in early June.

Mr. Bush will also announce in a speech on Monday to the annual convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Cincinnati that the withdrawal will affect an additional 100,000 military support staff and family members, who will leave the regions as well.

They are both speaking in front of veterans? That should be interesting.

I hope the veterans boo Kerry right out of there.

The Kerry camp is trying to keep his campaign from vanishing from sight.

It's Kerry who decided to run his campaign from the platform of "Vietnam Hero." NOw he's embroiled in a fight on that turf rather than discussing the issues (as if he actually WANTED to discuss the issues). He's to be blamed if his campaign sinks into complete irrelevance by the time the Republicans have their convention.
