Lurch's campaign is falling flat. He is avoiding the press. He is backpedalling on Christmas in Cambodia. The swifties ad is gaining traction in the local media and will soon run another ad. Polls show the ad is having a strong affect on independents. His bounce, such as it was, was just that--a mere bounce. He is now slipping. And if you want to know how worried the dems are, just check the whining on Democratic Underground's forum. All kinds of griping about Kerry's no-win strategy, caving on Iraq, embarrassment over the "sensitive war" accusation, etc., etc. Meanwhile Bush hasn't even stepped up to the plate yet--but already he's starting to pull ahead. Not only in OH, but in PA as well. Rasmussen's poll came out after the dem convention--it had both candidates at 46% in PA.
The Left never liked Lurch; they'd much rather have had Howard Dean. For that matter, so would I :-) But it is a historical truth that no incumbant has ever lost re-election with numbers like these-and our convention hasn't even started yet! I can't wait to see what kind of a bounce Bush might get. Want to bet that it'll be more than Lurch's dribble?
And Terrayza has been MIA since their fight in AZ...more's the pity because she was always good for a laugh.
