A little more than three decades ago, a young man named John O'Neill served his nation aboard a swift boat in Vietnam. Today, the mild-mannered and eloquent attorney from Texas is serving his nation again.
O'Neill and the book UNFIT FOR COMMAND have become the biggest nightmare in the Kerry campaign as the campaign tries to fool Americans into actually making a totally unqualified man the commander in chief.
From James Carvile to Lanny Davis to the rest of the hacks in the liberal media, O'Neill is being pummeled as a stooge of President Bush.
Let the word go forth that week after week after week after week, the DemocRATS have told lie after lie after lie after lie. O'Neill is no Bush stooge. In fact, he has not voted for the Republican candidate for president since 1988. Much to the chagrin of his wife, in 2000, JOHN O'NEILL VOTED FOR AL GORE! (source: Hugh Hewitt interview with O'Neill, 8-14-04)
O'Neill and the rest of the approximately 240 men who served with and around him, have come forward and, in many cases, put their jobs on the line to warn Americans of the phony that is the DemocRATic nominee for the presidency.
Godspeed, John O'Neill. You can count on the FReepers to back you 100% in this effort. Thank you yet again for answering your nation's call.
Good grief! His personal agenda is preventing a man from becoming the commander in chief whom he and 240 other men know is a phony. He is sounding the clarion call. They have tried to attack him as a Bush partisan. He is not. This takes wind out of their sails when it is known. It is very important that they will not be able to spin that he is in Rove's pocket.
I heard that explained. The evaluation was done using the very phony reports turned in by Kerry. He was there such a short time, that is all they had to go on. Elliott had been fooled but has joined those in trying to set the record straight.
I know it was a typo by I rather like the idea of "talking pints". LOL
The RATS in the press will probably always get away with what they are doing. That is what gave rise to talk radio. That is where we turn (along with the internet) for the truth.
You've got the right idea.
Let's forget about this insane politics and have some talking pints.
I was considered a 'bug' by my Captain, so he payed no attention to what people so low down on his esteem list saw.
(If you didn't brown nose him, he tried to destroy you.)
Got to see paperwork put in for awards, like say the Army Achievement Medal, get altered by the Captain.
Names changed and such.
(This is recently, I served in uniform during teh Clinton Administration.)
Saw paperwork put in by a section chief to give an award to a member of his gun section have the name changed from a person the Captain didn't like to someone the Captain did like.
Similar crap happened with the evals.
Our section chiefs would give good evals, and the Cap would give a bad one if you weren't one of his favorites.
I'm guessing Kerry's evals were more of a 'say nice stuff but don't make it glowing' situation.
Guess he won't be voting for Kerry. :-)
Yeah.
There'd be a great market for them too.
Bush can piggyback on that attack, with an attack on what Kerry did after Vietnam --- his votes that showed he is not fit to be the commander in chief.
Words of truth.
I remember you on George's show in the mid nineties when the shift started going strong. What a great show. Ray Breem too. They really got into the truth about politicians and what clinton was up to.
The internet and talk radio are gaining over the MSM.
I see their further diminishing share of news importance in the direction of this country.
Once lost it will take a very long time to get it back.
You're quite welcome. I really like the thoroughness of your site and definitely wanted to share it with some (hopefully soon-to-be ex) kerry supporters. With the "F'n" references in it, I figured they would blow it off as a blatant attack on him.
It was well known in the early 70's that O'Niell voted for Hubert Humphrey in '68. This was in response to attempts at the time to lable him a Nixon stooge.
The demonrats cannot stand the truth. Even when it comes from another liberal. Though, I doubt that voting for Humphrey would qualify him as a liberal by today's standards.
We can agree on that.
O'Neill has voted for both Republicans and DemocRATS. He has said that his wife and kids are more conservative than him. That works in his favor. It added to David Schippers credibility that he had twice voted for Clinton.
Great.
Thanks DFU and Darksheare. I think the reports mean that the faithful will never be convinced, but perhaps the undecided...
