Stuart Varney said the rebuilding economic benefits won't show up until the 4th quarter (Dec) not the 3rd (Sept).

John Kerry will blameHurricanes are all Bush's fault. He's just creating them for political gain.

Kerry will help Florida in a smarter, more sensitive way. I think he has a plan to fly master chefs in from Paris and serve the new homeless crepes and strawberry souffles on the beach as the sun rises. What a guy.
Not to be outdone Teresa announced the Heinz corporation will be distributing 1 million packets of Ketchup, each with a copy of her personal recipe for making Tomato Soup by adding hot water. She urged all prospective recipients to rent copies of Midnight Cowboy and follow the method Ratzo Rizzo (Dustin Hoffman) uses in the movie for a true Heinz gourmet experience. What a gal.

Another reason why the left will blame Bush for Hurricane Charley is to drive the price of oil down. With one million people without power they cannot pump gas.

Kerry: "When I, John 'Flip-Floppin' Kerry become president, disasters like this will simply not happen. Trust me. I am closer to God than ever before and than any president before me."

Hurricane Andrew hurt the 1992 Bush (41) campaign. Hanoi John hopes that Hurricane Charley will hurt W's campaign.

But there's a flip side. Wouldn't the clean up and rebuilding necessitated by the hurricane create jobs?So the Democrat's hurricane may backfire on them?

I heard on one of the Fox business shows yesterday that as roofers, etc head to Florida, which will actually show a increased growth due to recovery efforts, other parts of the country will see a drop in housing starts due to shortage of labor, shortage of plywood, etc and higher prices for all.

That guy's post got pulled while I was pinging the VKs.
He said (roughly) "I hope Kerry wins and beats that [curseword] Bush."
Then he went bye-bye.

T
hird Quarter 2004 numbers, although not speaking directly to the horrific human misery, will reflect the economic devastation wreaked by Hurricane Charley; as it destroyed a very great portion of the State of Florida. That is absolute nonsense.
