These two counties are GOP counties, or they were in 2000. These people must be put back on their feet. They must not flee the state. We, the country, will need them in November to hold off the abortionists on the left.

Geez - I've got a bunch of relatives ( several cousins , and an aunt ) who live in Punta Gorda ( NY transplants ) . Hope everybody is OK .

The SW Florida counties, mine included (Sarasota), tend to lean pretty strongly toward the GOP. The only Dem to hold a local elected office here is the Tax Collector (hehehe)! The lower east coast of Florida, generally just referred to as South Florida, is the Dem stronghold. The east coast is the home of dimpled chads, pregnant chads, Robert Wexler, and Rush Limbaugh (which must really burn 'em up over there). Most of our retired transplants here (we call them "snowbirds") hail from the Midwest. I much prefer them to the northeastern transplants who generally populate the east coast. The two sides of the state are quite different.
