I was watching Fox News today when they were interviewing a woman who worked at one of the hospitals. She said something shocking that I have not heard repeated. She reported 150 people DOA and said that it was an early number that was probably higher now. She also said that they were overwhelmed with wounded.
Anybody else see that report?

Just for comparison, 145 mph sustained winds is in the upper portion of the F2 tornado scale:
F2 - 113 - 157 MPH
Considerable damage. Roofs torn off frame houses; mobile homes demolished; boxcars overturned; large trees snapped or uprooted; light-object missiles generated; cars lifted off ground.
This was a very serious storm.

#14..Yes, I heard the same information.
She sounded credible.
Puntagorda, thank-you for clarifying what the news groups are trying to say, but it gets muddled.
You're there, so you should know.

I heard them talking to a woman at a hospital who said they were seeing 50% more people than normal. If she said (and I was busy) anything about deaths I missed it.

She reported 150 people DOA ... Anybody else see that report?Just for the record, I was watching Fox News at the time, and heard that interview. She (the hospital spokesman -- doctor?) sounded like she was just stating the facts, and trying to give a conservative estimate.
My jaw dropped when I heard it, but incredibly no one else has reported such a thing.
It seems there is some sort of gag order in effect that is keeping the networks from reporting a death count. One reporter on Fox surmised that they would release the numbers after the president finished his visit.
I have no idea why they would wait. It is the most curious thing.
